1) Completely finish Moon Murder and be ready to find an agent for it at Bouchercon.
Bouchercon is the world mystery convention. In 2017 it’ll be in Toronto. There are a ton of authors and agents so it’s a great place to meet people and potentially sell my book. Plus it’s an excellent deadline for the novel. 2) NNWM I have a new book idea in the works. This year I want to try and have a full outline settled before November! 3) Write and submit 12 short stories. While I didn’t succeed at this the last two years this goal has been a driving force in getting me to write some short stories and more importantly learn how to revise. Perhaps I’ll succeed in the actual goal this year, but if not I’m sure that it will help me grow as a writer, and that’s the important part! 4) Continue critique group. We invited a new person to the group. With five people submitting each week we decided to lower the weekly word count to 4k per submission. Other than that the goal and rewards are the same as last year. 5) Author visibility. a. Post a blog on my website once a week. b. Post on Instagram/FB/twitter once a week. c. Participate in 8 sentence Sunday’s - Every Sunday I'll post 8 sentence's from whatever I've been working on that week. It's a great way for everyone to see what I've been spending my time on! What are your goals for this year?

Nice goals. I'll be adding the crit comments later today. When is Boucheron? Will you have time to put the revision through the group?

Bouchercon is in the middle of October. Plenty of time to put the whole thing through the crit group and get the revisions done.

Hi Shannon, I'm a moderator for 8sunday. I looked around for your post and couldn't find one. If I've missed it, I'm sorry, but I'll have to pull your link from the list.
