I present to you Eight Sentence Sunday, a blog hop hosted by Weekend Writing Warriors. I have the first eight lines of the second scene of my Moon Murder rewrite. The first scene is available as an audio sample on my sample chapters page if you want to give it a listen! The lever let out a oozing tube of gray slime in circles. As the tube went to the edge of the plate it started to work its way back in again, the gray goop making a squeaky sound as it landed on top of the first layer. Alexander picked up the plate. "The consistency looks a little off, I'll have to have a talk with the train conductor." "That looks nasty." 16 eyed the stuff as her stomach rumbled. "It actually tastes like nothing. Perhaps thick water. The taste comes from the tubes." He gestured at the ceiling. Check out more at http://www.wewriwa.com/.

I present to you Eight Sentence Sunday, a blog hop hosted by Weekend Writing Warriors. For my very first #8Sunday post on this website I have the first eight lines of the second scene of my Moon Murder rewrite. The first scene is available as an audio sample on my sample chapters page if you want to give it a listen! “That’s pretty quick,” Alexander said while taking a seat on the couch. “You two should sit near the window. There’s nothing like watching the landscape of the moon pass by for the first time.” “Pretty quick? They didn’t even announce when we would be arriving at the research center.” “They probably don’t know. They’re notoriously bad at keeping to a schedule even when they have one. A negative to having only one train.” 1) Completely finish Moon Murder and be ready to find an agent for it at Bouchercon.
Bouchercon is the world mystery convention. In 2017 it’ll be in Toronto. There are a ton of authors and agents so it’s a great place to meet people and potentially sell my book. Plus it’s an excellent deadline for the novel. 2) NNWM I have a new book idea in the works. This year I want to try and have a full outline settled before November! 3) Write and submit 12 short stories. While I didn’t succeed at this the last two years this goal has been a driving force in getting me to write some short stories and more importantly learn how to revise. Perhaps I’ll succeed in the actual goal this year, but if not I’m sure that it will help me grow as a writer, and that’s the important part! 4) Continue critique group. We invited a new person to the group. With five people submitting each week we decided to lower the weekly word count to 4k per submission. Other than that the goal and rewards are the same as last year. 5) Author visibility. a. Post a blog on my website once a week. b. Post on Instagram/FB/twitter once a week. c. Participate in 8 sentence Sunday’s - Every Sunday I'll post 8 sentence's from whatever I've been working on that week. It's a great way for everyone to see what I've been spending my time on! What are your goals for this year? I present to you Eight Sentence Sunday, a blog hop hosted by Weekend Writing Warriors. For my very first #8Sunday post on this website I have the first eight lines of the second scene of my Moon Murder rewrite. The first scene is available as an audio sample on my sample chapters page if you want to give it a listen! It was impossible to miss the tall man standing next to the teal skinned alien holding a sign saying ‘Watts’. Zheng walked up to them, “Are we in the 1950s now?” “I had seen a movie where humans held signs while waiting for someone they hadn’t met before. Is this not normal?” Zheng took a moment to look the thing over before responding. Ignoring the blue skin he was almost human, yet parts of him were off. His eyes were big, and his head seemed out of proportion with his body. Almost like a child. Check out more at http://www.wewriwa.com/.
