8 Sentence Sunday #24

I present to you Eight Sentence Sunday, a blog hop hosted by Weekend Writing Warriors. I finished National Novel Writing Month in November, so you'll be seeing parts from that for the next couple of months as I expand and edit the rough draft.

Molly burst into the barn, "I saw the circus tents from my house!"

Her leg brace made a distinct clinking sound on the stone floor. She knew it was early, but she hadn't actually expected the place to be empty. Walking through to the second barn she threw the door open as dramatically as the first. There didn't seem to be anyone here either.

"Lorenzo?" She said looking up at the loft. No movement or anything.

"Well then, I'll just go by myself."
