This was a year with a lot going on, and with that I've been ignoring my personal website and blog quite a bit. Considering the progress that's been made I think it was a worthwhile trade. 1) The first and most noticeable was both editing and getting published in the anthology "Dark and Bitter". It was a treat to work on a book with many great stories, and with the wonderful women who own the company. 2) I attended Bouchercon for the first time. While I have been to a large number of science fiction and fantasy conventions before this was my first mystery convention. It was a blast! Everyone was friendly and the paneling was phenomenal. I learned a lot, which I'm sure will reflect in my future publications. 3) I attempted, and won, NaNoWriMo again this year! I worked on a completely new piece, which was needed. I wrote a bit over 50,000 words and finished up the story. I've always written lean, so I expect to add another 20,000 words during the editing process and then send it off to the agents, hopefully by the end of next year. 4) The last project for the year is writing a short story for Pub 518's next anthology "Exploits in the Adirondacks". I hope you're all ready for another murder mystery.
