I present to you Eight Sentence Sunday, a blog hop hosted by Weekend Writing Warriors. I've been trying my hand at free writing lately, and this is my favorite piece from this week. I knew this place was haunted, yet I still went there every night. Ghost shimmers reflected off of the tombstones like a beacon in the night. "Please come find us. Please give us a little of your time. Please give us all of the things we never had in life."
And each time I did. I found them then spent time with them. I would bring them gifts of food and water and wine. But each time I dropped something off to them they still wanted more, yet they promised that if I continued to do everything they wanted they would fix the deformity that had plagued me my whole life, and so I continued to do their bidding.

Ooh! Am I going to get to learn more of this world? Because, I kind of love it. Very compelling...I want more! =D

What an intriguing passage. Her relationship with the 'ghosts' isn't what I expected -- and then you compounded my surprise with that last line. Great hook.

Fascinating excerpt. Don't think I'd walk around a graveyard at night. I hope she gets what she wants.
