For those tuning into this round my master goals list is here. The list of everyone participating in this round is here. This busy half a week is almost to a close and I'll be able to concentrate on my goals in earnest again.
It's been busy and it's about to get busier. As such I'm going to be proactive about giving myself the time I need to do my goals and start only doing Wednesday checkins for the rest of this round. I might do comment updates on FB for the rest, we'll see how things flow. AFTER ACTION REVIEW: Big Goals: 1) Success! We put together a major push on the marketing front. We have a dozen preorders which is exciting with the release still two weeks away. We have some more marketing ideas coming up that will hopefully make this number grow. If we could top 100 preorders I would be chuffed indeed. 2) Success here! I've been putting an extra effort into getting my steps in again. The meal plan has been good, though a little offkilter from so much happening on my part plus veggies from the farmers market that weren't planned for. No worries, just gotta be flexible. I did not exercise, eventually I'll get to it again. 3) Huge leap here. I found a Google Map that had all Mitchelin star restaurants listed on it. I overlayed it with the maps we had already made for our trip and was about to pick out the five that were particularly close to us. I also sent the map to the friend in charge of scheduling and she'll be adding on places that are easy to get to from where we are. With this resource at our fingertips I think I'm set on this. On a different note, since this is the review of how the system is working as much as it's a review of how the goal went, this goal is going to be redefined. With how much is happening between now and then end of the round I need a goal that is focused on being ready for the next big activity and this is going to be it. It's now 'the travel' goal. In that regard, if I had updated over the weekend i would have put in a goal about making an itinerary for this upcoming weekend when I'll be in Boston. While I didn't write it down officially I did do it and it's already lowering my stress, which will absolutely allow me to enjoy the trip more as a whole. Small Goals: 1) This was passed and shall continue to be as such for the rest of the round. 2) I did try out the new podcast app and don't love it. Might just give it a pass and see if I can't put together my previous app to better suit my needs. I did not read more of the physical book. It's not something I'm really drawn into, even though I do want to read it. 3) I did not finish 'Nine Lies' yet nor start the next book. I've been too busy, including skipping lunch at work. Not a habit I plan to get into, but when it's needed it's needed. I'll try again this round, as long as it's not forgotten it's ok. I've been focusing on the big goals, which is absolutely what I should be doing. 4) First off the final task I have for this goal for this year is actually a big goal, so I'll be moving this to the upper section for the next check in. That goal is to get a new hot water heater in the house. The current one is leaking, and getting worse. I've gotten some leads so far, but I've gotta make some major steps soon if I want this to get done in-between my trips. 5) Done! While on the way to and from DnD I talked to the SO about this and figured out some more things about the world etc. Still not as character focused as I intended it to be, but I'm hoping that will evolve naturally out of conflict with the world and plot. INTENTIONS/MINI-GOALS Big Goals: 1) Interact with marketing daily when I'm home. Do what I can to support the others. Keep up with email. In the home stretch now! 2) 8k a day, even when traveling. Exercise once. Enjoy traveling, but try not to go overboard. I don't have to finish my meal! 3) Prepare for library event that I'm hosting tomorrow. Check over the schedule for the event that's happening next weekend and prepack car for both as possible. 4) Call someone to get the hot water tank installed. At least get an estimate appointment scheduled. Small Goals: 1) Complete. 2) You know what, as I review everything for the round this goal is complete. I'm going to call that good enough for now. 3) Finish 'Nine Lies' and return to coworker. After that this goal is complete as well. Usually I take extra time to get started on the next goal, but I could use the time for just about anything else at the moment. 4) Moved to big goal. 5) I almost want to call this complete as well, but I know it's not. If I continue to talk about it while going to DnD that would be splendid.

For those tuning into this round my master goals list is here. The list of everyone participating in this round is here. This busy half a week is almost to a close and I'll be able to concentrate on my goals in earnest again.
AFTER ACTION REVIEW: Big Goals: 1) Completed, though a minor fail as I haven't been keeping to the to do list as much as I should be. Overall I'm not being a great example. (But on the other hand I haven't been home much and have been needing some time to relax and recharge where I'm not doing work stuff. So....) 2) Medium. I've been getting about 6k a day right now. I did get some fresh veg at the farmers market. I also have the grocery list ready to pick up tomorrow. Did not exercise due to the not much time at home deal. 3) Looked up two more restaurants. This is a lot of fun to do. Small Goals: 1) Passed. 2) Failed. In reflection I should have realized I wouldn't have the time to read the physical book. I did listen to the podcast and downloaded the new app. 3) Done. Read another section of 'Nine Lies' that really resonated with me. 4) Looked into the tank. Got some feedback from coworkers and waiting until Friday to see if one of them comes up with a number. If they don't then I'll start researching a place/make some calls. 5) Success? It's been in the back of my mind, but nothing new or particularly exciting in the last week. INTENTIONS/MINI-GOALS Big Goals: 1) Put together major 'to do' for the weekend. Participate in the party and have a big push in marketing. 2) 8k a day. Pick up groceries. Keep to meal plan. Exercise. 3) Research and finalize more restaurants/plans for Japan and the upcoming weekends as a whole. Small Goals: 1) Pass, though honestly might just be done with this one for the round as my time per week is going down quickly. 2) Read a chapter of physical book. Listen to podcasts. Try new podcast app. 3) Finish 'Nine Lies'. Start reading 'Ask More'. 4) Make decision on who to install the tank and what tank to install. 5) Start thinking about side characters and how magic affects the economics of the world. For those tuning into this round my master goals list is here. The list of everyone participating in this round is here. This busy half a week is almost to a close and I'll be able to concentrate on my goals in earnest again.
AFTER ACTION REVIEW: Big Goals: 1) Kept up with marketing plan and new meeting scheduled. Communication has been open and things are going well. 2) Did not get 8k over the weekend. Every day before that though was 8k or higher. The meal plan has been kept to, I'll need to do shopping soon. 3) Progress made. Two reservations finalized and a number of other choices have been found. I didn't realize that we had as much flexibility as we do left in the schedule, so that will make things easier going forward. Stretch goal half complete, with one night of sleepover and Sunday's plans completed. Small Goals: 1) FINISHED! The order has been made, and it'll arrive right before the next trip. 2) Passed. Listening to podcast in the car. 3) Finished the writing related self-improvement book. About 2/3rds through 'Nine Lies'. I didn't have the mental power to read a ton of it this weekend. I'd rather get more out of my reading, so I think that delaying the goal in order to get a better understanding was a good decision. 4) Secret stretch goal complete! My new, reordered because it arrived broken last time, bedside table arrived. It took three hours to unpack everything and put it together, but it's in it's new spot and I am loving it! The whole room feels better and the table is much more usable as it's taller/bigger than the previous. Plus it has three giant drawers instead of the previous tiny half drawer. For such a small piece of furniture this has been a drastic improvement to the house. 5) Finished the writing related self-improvement book and applied what I could to this outline. I think that the first half was useful, but after that it petered off. I'll be looking at something new for the next stages of this planning. INTENTIONS/MINI-GOALS Big Goals: 1) Monday goal to finish my 'to do' list for 518 and then make this weeks list for everyone in Wunderlist. 2) 8k a day. Get some delicious veggies at the farmers market tomorrow. Make a meal plan around said fresh food. Do some exercises! I gotta make this a priority, this is a big goal for a reason! 3) Do more research on restaurants. Ideally put two more on the 'high chances' list. Small Goals: 1) After finally finishing the calendar I'm taking a pass on this for the week. I would start watching GoT again, but I just got a new video game (Fire Emblem) and I'd rather spend the time playing that. 2) Read a chapter of the physical book. Listen to podcasts. See about setting up new podcast listening app. (At least download it.) 3) Read another section of 'Nine Lies'. 4) Last major house renovation for this round; replacing the hot water tank. The current one is leaking, which is better than pressure building. That has made this a bit more of a priority than before. For the next check in I'd like to do some research into what tank we want to install and who would be a good choice to install it. I have two friends already looking up some options so I don't want to rush this too much. Wishing for the right person/company to come my way. 5) For the next checkin just keep thinking about the plot and see what comes up. I should probably start thinking about side characters a bit more. AFTER ACTION REVIEW:
Big Goals: 1) The order is in and will be arriving earlier than I was hoping, which is super exciting. The marketing plan is starting, I'm sure it'll get more momentum over the weekend. The whole team forgot the online meeting on Tuesday, so we'll reschedule it. 2) Major success here, 7-8K everyday plus keeping to the meal plan/eating healthy. 3) Sent an email about restaurant reservation with one place. Overlayed the maps of recommended restaurants with where we'll be and found few were close. Will restart the research anew later. Small Goals: 1) Overachieved and did three calendar pages. 2) As expected did not read the physical book. Did listen to the podcast in the car most days, there was one rainstorm where I didn't want to be distracted, so no worries there either. 3) Read a little more of the writing self-improvement book, read the first third of the borrowed book "Nine Lies About Work" which is absolutely fascinating. 4) The house is still clean. 5) Didn't think about the newest novel directly, but I'm playing a DnD campaign with a lot of spirits with different powers, so that's pretty related. INTENTIONS/MINI-GOALS Big Goals: 1) Keep up with marketing plan, schedule and attend new meeting. Continue to keep communication with the hens open, encouraging, flexible, and often. Right now is the best time for nurturing for growth. 2) 8k a day, keep up with meal plan. Not sure if I'll be getting more food, as I feel like we still have a lot in the house right now. 3) Finalize at least a few more restaurants. Stretch goal to finalize plans for the first weekend in September. Small Goals: 1) Finish calendar and put in purchase. 2) Pass on physical book, listen to podcast in car. 3) Finish both self-improvement books. 4) Pass. Just keep the house clean. 5) Apply more of the writing related self-improvement book to the newest NaNo novel drabbles. See about getting a real outline. AFTER ACTION REVIEW:
Big Goals: 1) Major done here! The anthology is simply waiting for approval before I can order! Now for the marketing plan. 2) Did not get 8k a day, spent too much time in my chair and I can feel it in my legs. I did stay on the meal plan and tried a new vegetarian recipe that went over well with everyone in the house. It's a keeper! 3) Failure. I spent a lot of time working on goal 1 and recovering from a pretty bad week. Small Goals: 1) Failure, again simply didn't get the time to work on this. 2) Read another two chapters of the physical book and listened to podcasts in the car. 3) Up to half on the self-improvement book. It's been much better than I was anticipating. 4) Success! Cleaned the first floor of the house. It didn't take too long, maybe an hour and a half which included some once a year activities such as washing the windows. 5) I tried out the first nine steps from "Jumpstart Your Novel". I do think that it's helping me figure out what's going on. It's not that complicated, basically structured free writes about different parts of the story. But I have the main character and the plot down. I'm reconsidering writing this in an epistolary format now though. Luckily there's still time before making the decision. INTENTIONS/MINI-GOALS Big Goals: 1) Monday, assign everyone parts of the market plan we put together. Attend the online meeting on Tuesday. 2) Reup the anti to get to 8k a day again. Keep to the meal plan. 3) Actually get around to finalizing at least some of the Japanese restaurants. Aiming for at least forward momentum. Small Goals: 1) Finish two pages of the calendar, I'll finish the rest over the weekend. 2) Pass on the physical book, listen to podcast in the car. 3) Read more of self-improvement book and start to read borrowed self-improvement book. 4) Pass. Just keep the house clean. 5) Keep thinking it over, but nothing specific. For those tuning into this round my master goals list is here. The list of everyone participating in this round is here. This busy half a week is almost to a close and I'll be able to concentrate on my goals in earnest again.
AFTER ACTION REVIEW: Big Goals: 1) DONE! The rough draft was complete and sent out. There have already been a number of responses of little improvements to make. I'm glad that I put in the extra time to get this done early, the more that people look at it the better the final product will be and the happier everyone involved will be. 2) I got in 7k steps yesterday and a bit fewer than that the day before. I'm sure today will be pretty high since I'm scheduled to do a lot of moving and cleaning at work today. I've been keeping to the meal plan with a lot of salads with fresh veggies from the farmers markets. Considering how unhealthy I could have been eating on a high activity week like this it's a huge win. 3) Passed. Small Goals: 1) Passed. (Did I mention how much less anxiety I had since I gave myself achievable goals for a busy week? It really helped.) 2) Read another two chapters of my physical book and have been listening to a variety of podcasts in the car. 3) Since I finished my digital book last checkin, and I had a little time to read something on my phone, I went into the archives and found an old writing related self-improvement book I've been meaning to read, "Jumpstart Your Novel" by Mark Teppo. It's quick so far, with an interesting premise around plotting a novel. This is fortuitous as I'm trying to plot a novel for small goal 5. I'll be trying this method out over the weekend and see how it goes! 4) The house is chored, the spices refilled, and the rest put away in a new organizational box. 5) I have mulled over my story some more. Mostly I think I need to understand the magic system more so that I can figure out how it's going to affect the world and the people in it. INTENTIONS/MINI-GOALS Big Goals: 1) Respond to all emails about the rough draft. Incorporate edits into the rough draft. Send a newsletter email. Respond to the email about a guest post finally. (It's been eating at me!) Prepare for the weekend meeting by doing research and posting a meeting agenda early. 2) 8k a day. Update the meal plan to be more accurate and include one new healthier recipe. Put in order for said meal plan and pick it up by Friday. Exercise once. 3) Finalize all the Japanese restaurants and make reservations as needed. Small Goals: 1) Finish Grandma's calendar. It's about 1/2 done so far. So either I can do a page a day, or I can just sit my butt down and finish it in an hour. I've been in the mood to finish things, plus it's going to take some time to print and get delivered and I'd like it to arrive in time to be used. 2) Read more of physical book. Listen to something in car. 3) Read more of self-improvement book. Stretch goal to finish it. 4) Clean the first floor of the house, since we're having people over this weekend. 5) Try out the first three steps from "Jumpstart Your Novel" and assess if it's helping me understand more of the story. For those tuning into this round my master goals list is here. The list of everyone participating in this round is here.
AFTER ACTION REVIEW: Big Goals: 1) Major success! All edits but one are in, and there's a known reason for that one being late. The cover is *finally* finished. I always underestimate just how long it takes to get the bookcover to look right. The insides of the anthology are started, but need some TLC before it's ready to be seen by the world. Soon! 2) Managed 8K a day during the week, but took a very slothful weekend where I didn't leave the house at all. It was great. I did do some exercise while I was inside though, so I did completed a different part of this goal. I also kept to the meal plan, while working through a couple old cans of food that wouldn't work with any of the recipes that we currently use. Overall a win! 3) I have a major list of Japanese restaurants, about 30, that look awesome. I want to add a couple from my Michelin Star list. Then I need to see which ones are in right areas and area available for the right days with our schedule next. Not as much progress as I originally anticipated since this simply took longer to put together than I expected. (And after that I was working on goal 1.) I'll continue to work on it this week as I can, and not worry about it taking too long. This is supposed to be a more fun goal, right?! Small Goals: 1) I completely forgot about this goal. Probably because I didn't make a to do list at all this weekend. Thus no progress, though again no worries, I got done the important stuff. 2) I read more of the physical book. I also finished the book I've been reading on my phone. It was an interesting setting, but oddly paced. 3) Stretch goal achieved! I finished reading diyMFA~ I don't think I've read more of the Japan travel book since finishing the food section, for fairly obvious reasons. 4) I decided that almost all of what was on the landing didn't need to be there. I already decided to get rid of a good fourth of it, and the rest went to the basement proper. Instead of being too preemptive with my decisions on what lives on the landing and labeling I'm going to see what I have to go down into the basement for and how often, and deem those things worth of a spot on the landing. (Sounds like a prestigious position!) In the end the goal I made last week wasn't well thought out and wasn't particularly relevant. 5) I didn't come up with events or character ideas much, but was thinking about the project as a whole while reading diyMFA. It gave me more to chew over, in directions that I wasn't planning on going to this week. Ah well, that's how stories go, right? INTENTIONS/MINI-GOALS Big Goals: 1) Finish the anthology draft 1 and send to authors for review. 2) Keep up with everything as best I can. It's going to be a packed first half of the week. 3) Honestly I'd like to make progress here, but I don't have the time until after Wednesday. So I'm going to preemptively give myself a pass. It's better to enjoy the activities that I will be doing instead of thinking about what I 'should' be doing. Small Goals: 1) Also going to give this a pass. I'll be focusing on this soon, but not now. 2) Read more of the physical book (probably during lunch), and listen to something in the car. 3) Grab the next self improvement book and read a chapter. Pass on reading the Japan travel book until after the restaurants are finalized. 4) Keep up with the house chores, refill spices, and put the rest away. Stretch goal to clean the front porch. 5) Mull over my NaNo story more. AFTER ACTION REVIEW:
Big Goals: 1) Kept up with line edits. Only a handful left now! Followup emails sent to those who haven't turned in their story. Been working on the final product, currently having issues getting the cover to save in the right format at the right size. 2) Major success! I hit 8k two of the days so far, and only by doing the last couple hundred steps by pacing my house, but I was determined! I also went to the farmers market and picked up my groceries. I didn't have time to make or modify my grocery list, but that was the point of making the grocery list/meal plan anyways right, to save time! It's nice to feel the results of ones labor. Did some exercise today as well, nothing crazy, but working towards the right direction. 3) It's less than 60 days until the trip! OMG! I'm not ready!!! I haven't been studying, because I'm not at the point of understanding that I was hoping I would be at by this time. I need to accept the current reality, make a new goal, and then aim for that goal. That's going to be a part of this upcoming weekend. Small Goals: 1) Finalized another month on Grandma's calendar. Got the final birthdays that I was looking for, and will add them to the calendar this upcoming checkin. 2) Did read another two chapters of the physical book. (They're short, but hard to read due to the font/size.) I successfully found my headset and have been catching up on a Podcast in the car this week. 3) Read some of diyMFA and a whole chapter about traveling Japan. (it was the food chapter.) 4) Major progress here! Completely cleared off anything that was unneeded from the landing area. A lot of it is going to get donated, though a good portion also went into the basement properly. I also cleaned off the shelving units and swept the landing proper. This will absolutely be able to be completed this upcoming checkin. (Also the SO was both surprised and impressed with this progress!) 5) Did the worksheet. Had some major realizations when I was at DnD this week, making me very excited for this story. Started an Aeon timeline for this story, but have to start thinking a lot more about the world and it's history before I start to fill it in. INTENTIONS/MINI-GOALS Big Goals: 1) Continue to keep up on edits. Finish my edits and send them in. Get the bookcover squared away. 2) 8k a day. More HP. Keep up with the meal plan. Exercise once. 3) Changing the focus here this checkin. I need to do some major research on which restaurants we're going to in Japan and make reservations for the ones that need it. This is going to take a lot of time. (Worth it!) I'm hoping that taking this time away from studying will help give me more energy to do the studying again afterwords. Plus it needs to get done anyways, and I'm looking forward to it! (A scientist who loves her research!) Small Goals: 1) Either watch an episode of GoT or finalize a page of Gradma's calendar every day this checkin. Stretch goal to finish the calendar completely. Reminder to self to add the two birthdays to the events section. 2) Read more of physical book. Listen to something in the car while driving to/from work. Help the SO get audiobooks on his phone. 3) Read more of diyMFA. (Stretch goal to finish it. It's within reach and I'm a week behind on this goal currently.) Read more of traveling Japn book. 4) Decide what goes on the basement landing shelves. Put up labels so that they keep to the things that they're supposed to. 5) Think up a couple events and work on character ideas. For those tuning into this round my master goals list is here. The list of everyone participating in this round is here.
AFTER ACTION REVIEW: Big Goals: 1) Monday was successful, with me responding to all the emails that were in the inbox. Tuesday I ended up falling sleep early instead of going through the edits. I did not plan for enough recovery time after the vacation. Thus the edits got moved to Wednesday and Thursday. 2) Walked 6k on Monday, 10k on Tuesday, and 8k on Wednesday. Overall an average of 8k, which is the goal, so that's a win! Food wise; didn't quite keep to the meal plan for Mon/Tue but did continue to eat things that are in the house. This week ground beef is on sale, so I made a fourth meal plan revolving around that including a new recipe from online. That means that the meal plan wasn't updated, since this one is brand new. I did not put on the beer though, to save some calories. I also did do the calorie counts for these meals, and realized that the new recipe I found was actually the worst one yet. So that got cut preemptively and I'm going to find a new recipe in my books at home before putting in my grocery list for tomorrow. Weights: I put together two lists of exercises that should compliment each other well. I was going to start them today but my shoulder has been getting worse and worse since getting back from vacation. Not sure if it's all the driving or playing HP or what, but I certainly don't want to aggravate it more than needed. 3) Studied Japanese for at least a bit every single day. Did send the letter. Did not watch the anime, simply not enough time. Small Goals: 1) No progress here, but should have more time this weekend. 2) Did not read much of the book at all. I really overestimated what I could get done before the next checkin. 3) Successfully read more of diyMFA and the traveling Japan book. 4) Miniproject complete! Took ~30 books out of the TBR pile then added the over 50 I got while on vacation. Overall I'm more excited to read what I have know, since I know that it's all something that I've actively chosen to read and chosen when to read it. 5) Major success here! I went through my notes/ideas from vacation and highlighted a dozen to follow up on. I took the short story that's been simmering for a week and wrote an outline during lunch and then wrote the whole thing out by the end of the day! I'm going to let it sit for a while before editing and sending it out, but it's exciting to just sit down and write something to completion. I started to do some research on places to send my short stories, but my normal resource wasn't working so this wasn't nearly as efficient as usual. INTENTIONS/MINI-GOALS Big Goals: 1) Keep up with line edits. Contact line editor about last four stories. Stretch goal to start formatting the book, particularly for any of the stories that are already in, plus the poetry. 2) 8K a day. Pickup groceries and keep to meal plan. Check on calories and nutrition for all meals on next weeks meal plan, drop the worst meal, and find a new healthier meal from cookbooks. If my shoulder is feeling better then exercise, if not sleep more. 3) 15/min a day. Watch two anime without subtitles. Respond to 1 letter in Japanese. Small Goals: 1) Update two pages of the family calendar. Stretch goal of one additional page. 2) Major progress on reading physical book. See about getting audio book on my phone. 3) Read more of diyMFA. Read more of traveling Japan book. 4) Big goal here, in order to take advantage of the weather; take down some of the major ivy invasion and pack it into the last two yard bags. Stretch goal of buying additional yard bags. 5) I officially have an idea for NaNo. Right now it still needs to percolate. The goal will be to discuss it with writers group this weekend. Maybe do a character sketch or two, and real stretch goal of writing a one sentence overarching summary. For those tuning into this round my master goals list is here. The list of everyone participating in this round is here.
I just got back from a vacation with a wonderful messy adopted family of authors and I absolutely loved it. I'm feeling pumped and full of ideas. There's also some new ideas and new truths to the goals I'm working through that I'll be going through below. Sometimes surrounding yourself is something completely new helps gain a new and better focus on the things right in front of you. INTENTIONS/MINI-GOALS Big Goals: 1) On Monday I want to respond to all emails that are in the inbox. Tuesday I want to go through and confirm all edits. Wednesday maintenance on anything new incoming. 2) Walking - 8K a day. Food - we have two meals left from last week due to my vacation. So Monday and Tuesday we'll cook and eat those. Ideally before Wednesday, at worst on Wednesday, I'll update the meal plan and put in the order for this week. This will include a sub step of getting a calorie count for all meals on the list. Changes will include cutting out beer and one high calorie meal from last plan. Then including one healthier new recipe, I suspect it'll be focused around beans. (Protein and fiber at least.) Weights - Here's the truth; I don't give a shit about exercise. Not much of a surprise, most people don't, yet I've done Crossfit for almost two years, badminton for a year at 7AM, aikido for a year, etc. Exercise doesn't scare me and I don't avoid it. But each of those activities, which I dedicated myself to for long lengths of time, involved me working with other people towards things that make me feel strong in some way. In reality I should have known, being a Slytherin, that working out for the sake of my health wasn't going to work out as well as working out to feel stronger. Ah, but, if that's the case then I can work to help my brain along with some visual management. My new plan is to put together a list of doable anywhere exercises by Wednesday. Starting Wednesday I'll do as many of those exercises I can until I feel the burn, then I'll do one more and write down the number I get. I'll do this every day and chart my progress. If there's a good app for charting such I'll use that, if not I'll update the chart myself once a week. Being able to visually see that I'm getting stronger should help me want to continue to exercise every day, and if I can do it anywhere then there's no excuse. 3) 15/min Japanese per day, studied during lunch. 1 letter. 1 anime without subtitles. Small Goals: 1) Format one calendar page. 2) Read a lot (ideally half) of the physical book I started last week. This is to clear my currently reading shelf to make room for small goal 4's results. 3) Read another chapter of diyMFA. Read chapter of traveling Japan book. 4) I've got a mini project here. I came home from vacation with three bags of books. Some were hand chosen, some were freebie's. What I want to do is go through my entire at home TBR shelf and make sure that I really want to read them all. Then go through all of the books I got and make sure that I want to read them before they go on the freshed up TBR shelf. Both of these updates need to be recorded in my shelves on Goodreads. Then I'm going to put together my physical book reading list for the rest of the year according to the diyMFA guidelines, and then put the books in that order, so that I can always quickly grab the next one when it's time. 5) Go through my notes/ideas from vacation. Choose the ones I'd like to focus on. Take at least the short story and write an outline. Also take the momentum from the convention and send out any short stories that I currently have in house out into the world again. (Something I'd been avoiding because it would just take up too many spoons.) |
